Although I'm not a dedicated Apple Fanboy it was really sad getting the news that Steve Jobs passed way earlier this week. He was truly a great man and one of a kind. After going through a couple of his presentations and speeches I would like to hightlight this Stanford Commencement Address from 2005 since it's really good and worth watching more than once.

For a while now I've been using Evernote to take notes in meetings and to scribble down some ideas that randomly pop into my head. They have this idea of making it really easy to "Remember Everything" which is great. Evernote also syncs all my notes throughout my wide range of devices (and I have a lot of devices) so that I always have them with me.

The latest innovation from Evernote is something called "Peek" - and it's the first application I've seen that utilize the iPad 2 smart cover technology. You just flip part of the cover and up pops a question from the study material that you've added to your account. It's really sleek and smart and beautiful. Have a look at the video below and go download it in the app store.

Calle and Kaj who helped us at Spotify getting our brand ducks in a row has teamed up with ex-Stardoll front-end guy Birk Nilson to create a new e-commerce experience. Will be fun to see how this will develop. Good luck guys!

Trying out Squarespace

This blog is now operated by Squarespace. Squarespace is a fully hosted, completely managed environment for creating and maintaining a website, blog or portfolio. So far it's been pretty easy to setup, changing template, adding a few things and import my old blog. The only thing not working is my domain mapping, I've pointed both www.christianwilsson.se and www.24supreme.com here but I hope it will be solved soon. And yes, I'm on a pro package so domain mapping is included.

Hello Spotify!

After almost 2 years of hard work at AfonsoWilsson, it's time for something new. I'm moving on and joining Spotify as Head of Design on August 16th. It's been a difficult decision to make - as I will be leaving my "own" company - but I feel that this is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity.

I've been hanging around Spotify for years, even designing the first version of the logo (which Rasmus later refined into that green good looking thingie), so it feels a bit like coming "home". It will be loads of fun and I'm thrilled to be part of the future development of Spotify.

What will happen to AfonsoWilsson?
It's business as usual. AfonsoWilsson will continue making websites and campaigns for a bunch of various clients. So if you need a new website or any other web-related material please visit www.afonsowilsson.se
